The Promotion Strategy & Visibility Program for

Mid-Career Black & Brown Women

YOUR "GO-TO" EMPLOYEE MAY BE PLOTTING HER EXIT...

For every 100 men promoted to manager, only 73 Women of Color receive the same opportunity.

— McKinsey, Women in the Workplace

Women of Color have spent years contributing, leading, solving problems, and producing results… Yet, many of them continue to struggle to move into higher level roles.

Not because they lack ambition, nor are they incapable.

The problem is they just see no way to grow inside their organizations.

And what happens when employees continue being told they do a "good job" but aren't given an opportunity to advance? They begin to jump ship.

This should be a HUGE concern for organizations because:

  • 63% of employees who quit cited lack of advancement opportunities as a major reason for leaving.

  • Organizations that fail to invest in employee growth and advancement can experience up to 34% higher turnover rates.

  • Replacing experienced salaried employees typically costs companies 6–9 months of that employee’s salary.

  • 94% of employees say they would stay longer at a company that invests in their career development.

  • Internal movers have a 75% retention rate compared to 56% for employees who remain in stagnant roles.

Investing in employee growth is no longer an option…

IT'S A NECESSITY.

Command the Room, Sis!

YOUR ANSWER TO EMPLOYEE RETENTION

AKA THE ANTI-BYE-BYE PLAN

Fewer than 25% of women of color feel they have sufficient sponsorship for advancement.

— LeanIn.Org and McKinsey & Company

Command the Room, Sis! is a promotion readiness program for mid-career Women of Color (5+ years) seeking a higher level role in their current organization.

Over the course of 6 months, participants will learn how to explicitly connect their contributions to organizational outcomes, priorities, and business goals through:

  • Professional Identity: Identifying the role they want to pursue next within their company and what they want to be known for within their field.

  • Leadership Mindset: Addressing mindset blocks and internal barriers to reduce the fear of growth and expansion in their career.

  • Sales Psychology: Understanding how promotion decisions are influenced and how to strategically position contributions for leadership buy-in.

  • Communication & Impact: Translating their responsibilities and projects into business terms (ROI + outcomes) to build their case for promotion.

  • Internal Visibility: Developing strategies to increase recognition, create opportunities for sponsorship and advocacy, and build cross functional relationships.

Command the Room, Sis! was built to help organizations improve retention of their WOC employees and reduce the risk of disengagement due to boredom, burnout, and lack of advancement opportunities.

That's why it's considered the anti-bye-bye plan.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU???

Let's be honest here.

While I'm sure your company absolutely cares about your people and wants to see them succeed...

Promotions aren't given out because of the "kindness of your heart".

They're business decisions.

So if you promote the wrong person, that doesn't just make you as a leader look bad; it also reflects poorly on the company.

But when done correctly, it's the ultimate cheat code for building a stronger organization.

In addition to all the other benefits spoken about above, Command the Room, Sis! also circumvents costly promotion decisions by helping your employees:

  • Think beyond basic task completion and connect their contributions and impact to larger business goals, organizational priorities, and long term company growth.

  • Improve prioritization, ownership, and execution around projects and day-to-day responsibilities to create smoother workflows and increase productivity across their team or department.

  • Better navigate conversations with leadership, stakeholders, and clients in situations where buy-in can influence project outcomes, strategic decisions, and future opportunities for their team or department.

The better they get, the better you get;

it's a win-win situation for all parties involved.

In the last few weeks of doing this course, I’ve been getting so many people at my job like, ‘Can I ask you a question? Can I reach out to you?’ That wasn’t the case before…

This program made it for me to be able to stay where I am and grow to another level…

If you don’t feel like you’re where you’re supposed to be professionally, or you don’t know how to turn your career around, take this course.

One thing this program helped me with was being able to discern quickly if a workplace matches what I need...

In this new job, I realized pretty fast that it’s a place that invests in development, and that gave me a lot of clarity and excitement stepping in… I’ve been asking very practical questions and bringing ideas for how things could work better.

I can see that it’s starting to have an impact…

What helped me pull myself forward was joining this program...

Now it’s more clear what I’m after...[I’m] more self aware [about] what I need and how I need it… If someone is thinking about taking this program, I’d say just go for it.

You don’t have to struggle or figure it out by yourself.

THE SOLUTION THAT KEEPS YOUR BEST TALENT

FROM CRASHING OUT & LEAVING

Nearly 1 in 3 Women of Color plan to leave their employer within a year. They're not up and leaving their jobs because they dislike them.

The problem is that because they don't see a future there.

That's why Command the Room, Sis! exists.

This program will give your mid-level Women of Color employees the space to think beyond survival mode. It forces them to get intentional about the future they want within your organization and better understand how their contributions support team performance, business goals, and long-term organizational growth.

And listen... I'm gonna hold your hand as I say this:

I guarantee, if you're not already promoting these women...

They've probably already written up their "peace out" notice.

They're simply waiting for a better opportunity to come around

before sending it.
